Meet Our Doctor

Treyce Sanderson, DDS

I joined the Waterloo Heights Dental team in June of 2021. I’m originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After graduating from Sault Area High School, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, Honors College from Michigan State University. I then went on to earn my DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

What first drew me to the dental field was a bicycle accident I experienced at the age of 15: After having two of my teeth avulsed, I had to undergo endodontic treatments, and this was very impactful for me and wound up being a very cool experience. Some of the things that I enjoy most about dentistry are the ability to work with my hands and the opportunity to help people, which I’m very passionate about.

Since joining our practice, I’ve contributed in a number of meaningful ways. I’ve brought a great deal of knowledge about new technology and techniques in dentistry. Additionally, I’m a team player and a hard worker who always works to ensure that our office is providing top-notch care for our patients. Having grown up in a small rural community, I appreciate the strong sense of community that West Salem has, and I look forward to providing our area with high-quality dental care in an enjoyable and welcoming setting.

Outside of the office, I like to hunt, fish, hike, and enjoy any outdoor activity. I always have my truck loaded down with gear for any opportunity for an adventure. I also enjoy cooking: I recently got a pellet grill and am always looking for new recipes to try. I’m very excited to be here and to be part of the team at Waterloo Heights. I look forward to meeting you in the office soon!

Registered Dental Hygienist

I have been a dental hygienist for almost 40 years and have been a member of the team at Waterloo Heights Dental for over 30. I was born and raised in La Crosse and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1976. I’ve received advanced training and certifications in laser dentistry as well as the BaleDoneen Preceptorship.

The best part of this job for me is helping people. I love getting to know my patients of all ages and helping them achieve health and wellness. I have witnessed many changes in the dental industry over the last 30 years and I love to see the advancements in treatments and technologies that allow us to provide even better patient care. I truly love helping people.

My husband, Mike, and I have three grown children – Joan who is also a dental hygienist, Maggie who is a medical transcriptionist, and Dan who is a mountain enthusiast for Yetti, Inc. I have enjoyed watching my children grow and become parents themselves, and I now have five beautiful grandchildren whom I love spending time with.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, practicing yoga, and working on my singing career with my band Studebaker 7.  I thoroughly enjoy working for Waterloo Heights and embracing new challenges every day!

I have been with Waterloo Heights Dental since the year 2012. I started with the team as a Dental Assistant. After 4 years working as a Dental Assistant, I decided to advance and further my career. In 2018, I graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College with my Dental Hygiene degree. During my schooling I received valuable education and advanced training in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and laser bacterial reduction. My favorite part of this job is building lasting relationships with patients. I am passionate about educating patients on the importance of oral health and helping patients achieve a healthy smile.

I am originally from Rockland and now reside in West Salem with my husband, Andrew; my step daughter, Niya; and my son, Silas. When not caring for patients, I love to travel, hike, and spend time with family and friends.

Katie

Dental Hygienist

Meet Katie, a dental hygienist whose journey to this role is rooted in genuine passion and a lifelong dream. Katie began her career right here in the office as a hygiene assistant and sterilization technician, and after earning her degree from Rochester Community Technical College in 2025 — with high honors — she was thrilled to return as a full-fledged hygienist. Her inspiration? The meaningful relationships she experienced with her own dental team growing up, and the desire to create that same sense of trust and care for her patients.

Katie’s approach is built around comfort and respect. She takes the time to move at each patient’s pace, recognizing that every person walks in with their own unique concerns. Her goal is simple: to make sure every patient leaves feeling heard, cared for, and at ease.

Born and raised in La Crescent, Minnesota, Katie spent her school years in Rochester before returning to the area to be close to her family — a move that says a lot about who she is. Outside the office, she stays busy with pickleball, baking, thrifting, exploring the outdoors, catching up on reality TV, and spending quality time with the people she loves.

Whether you’re a longtime patient or walking through the door for the first time, Katie is dedicated to making your experience a welcoming one.

Tracey

Dental Assistant

I have over 20 years of experience in dentistry and have been a dental assistant at Waterloo Heights Dental for over a decade. I am a hometown girl, born and raised right here in West Salem! I received my dental assisting education from Western Technical College (WWTC) in 1990, and have additional training in CPR and basic life support.

For me, the best part of this job is meeting new people and changing lives, whether it’s helping with a simple filling or a whole new smile. When someone smiles for the first time in a long time because of our care, it is truly a priceless feeling that brings tears to my eyes. I strive to make every dental experience a good one. I thoroughly explain what to expect and what your dental needs are, and help you have a relaxed and comfortable experience.

My husband, Paul, and I have been married for over 20 years, and we have three children – Justin, Jayden and Jarron. I have loved watching them in all their activities including baseball, choir, band, and theatre. When I’m not at the office helping patients, I enjoy walking my dog, Harley, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Pa Dao

Dental Assistant

Pa Dao is a Dental Assistant at our practice and a recent graduate of Western Technical College’s Dental Assisting program. Through her training, Pa Dao developed hands-on clinical experience in chairside assisting, sterilization, radiography, and preventive care, and she holds CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Pa Dao brings a genuine enthusiasm to her role and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth. She is passionate about providing compassionate care and creating positive experiences for every patient who walks through the door — something that shines through in the way she approaches each interaction.

Outside of the office, Pa Dao enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, and attending concerts. She values meaningful connections and a healthy work-life balance, qualities that translate naturally into the warmth and attentiveness she brings to patient care.

We are thrilled to have Pa Dao as part of our team, and we know patients will appreciate her dedication, positive energy, and caring spirit.

Darci

Dental Assistant

I grew up in Cashton, Wisconsin. I had a great experience with my childhood dentist, who really made me want to become a dental assistant. After graduating from Cashton High School, I went on to attend and earn my certification for Dental Assisting from Western Technical College. I joined the Waterloo Heights team in the summer of 2024. I think that my teammates here would describe me as a “busy bee.” I always try to make sure that everything is running smoothly, and I try to hop in wherever I’m needed. One of the best things about my job — the thing I really look forward to — is helping people get their smiles back.

When I’m not working at the office, two of my favorite things are spending time with my family and camping in the summer. I also love to spend time with my dog, a husky named Bandit.

Kelli

Administration

Kelli  brings a wealth of experience and a genuine warmth to the front desk at Waterloo Heights. Kelli’s journey in dentistry began right out of high school, starting at the front desk before expanding her skills into sterilization and eventually training as a dental assistant — a role she held chairside for over 15 years. She joined the Waterloo Heights team in June of 2025, bringing with her a deep understanding of the dental office experience from nearly every angle.

At the heart of Kelli’s approach is a simple but powerful belief: treat everyone with respect and empathy. She genuinely enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level and takes pride in being a familiar, friendly face each time someone walks through the door.

Outside of the office, Kelli lives in Tomah with her husband Tony and stays busy with their two kids and a two-year-old grandchild. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her traveling, heading outdoors with their black lab Diesel, riding UTVs, or soaking up everything the summer season has to offer. Kelli’s love of people and the outdoors makes her a natural fit for a team that values genuine connection — and patients are sure to feel right at home with her from the very first visit.
